Geopolymer is being studied extensively and shows as a greener alternative to Portland cement concrete. Geopolymer concrete is an innovative material that is characterized by long chains or networks of inorganic molecules and is a alternative to conventional Portland cement concrete for use in transportation infrastructure construction. Several tonnes of Foundry sand need to be disposed per year. Ten states generate 70% of the total foundry sand generated in India. From the past studies partial replacement of foundry sand in concrete does not affect the properties of GPC majorly. This study is to find the suitability of replacement of cement with Fly ash and GGBS for making concrete, to study the possibilities of a partial replacement of sand with Foundry sand, to compare the cost of modified mix with control mix and to study the engineering properties of geopolymer concrete with Foundry sand so it can be a green alternative to conventional concrete.}, keywords = {Fly Ash, GGBS, Foundry Sand, Alkaline Activators, Fine aggregate.}, month = {}, }
