Research continues on novel materials that minimize weight and improve strength, while addressing other critical properties.  Flexible composites, owing their heritage to high performance, low stretch sails used in yacht racing competitions, including around the world races, continue to be developed by Cubic Tech Corp. (CT). These materials take advantage of the newest in high strength-to-weight ratio fibers, technical films, woven fabrics, and other high performance materials.
