  • Abstract:
  • The objective of proportioning concrete mixes is to arrive at the most economical and practical combination of different ingredients to produce concrete that will satisfy the performance requirements under specified condition of use. An integral part of concrete mix proportioning is the preparation of trial mixes and effect adjustments of placement that is workability requirements. To work out those trial mixes we are taking the help of IS10262:2009 (Indian standard: CONCRETE MIX PROPORTIONING GUIDELINES). Taking into consideration the fundamental objective of mix proportioning we are here trying to show what changes come to the water content, workability and strength property in concrete mixes with the use of super plasticizer or water reducing admixture. In this project we are assuming some practical requirements and for those requirements we are carrying out mix proportioning of concreteingredients once without admixture and compare the water content, workability and strength in the two cases keeping the w/c ratio same in the two cases for the same requirements. So the main objective of our projective is to determine the change in property of concrete with the use of admixture.
