  • Abstract:
  • This paper proposes analysis of modified control strategies such as power balance theory (PBT) for power quality (PQ) enhancement in three-phase power distribution system under system imbalance and distortion conditions. It is used to extract the reference signals for compensating device and to evaluate the performance of proposed control scheme as per the compliance of various standards. This study is about voltage source converter (VSC) based shunt active compensator. For demonstrating and analysis the performance of proposed control strategies and system, the simulations are carried out under MATLAB environment with its Simulink and PSB set toolboxes.
