  • Abstract:
  • Using animals in research has historically proved to be useful. During the initial phase where ethics were not as strong as it is today, there were no regulations at all. But soon animal rights became a significant point of discussion within the society. Ethical guidelines were established to curtail unregulated use of animals in scientific procedures. But this did not end the debate of whether or not researchers should use animals to perform experiments. Moreover, the arguments from both ends are comprehensive and valid. This eventually has led to researchers trying to find other alternatives that could potentially help replace the need for animals in research. These alternatives are improving with the help of constant technological advancements and will be exclusively implemented ethically in further times.
