  • Abstract:
  • Software Defined Networking (SDN) has revolutionized traditional network architecture by decoupling the control plane from the data plane, enabling centralized network management and dynamic configuration. This paradigm shift has led to significant advancements in routing applications, allowing for more efficient traffic management, enhanced security, and reduced operational costs. This paper presents an analytical comparison of various routing applications within SDN environments, focusing on their performance, scalability, and adaptability in diverse network scenarios. By examining different SDN controllers and routing algorithms, we provide insights into how these applications optimize network performance, mitigate congestion, and respond to network failures. Furthermore, this analysis highlights the challenges and limitations associated with implementing routing applications in SDN, such as scalability issues and the complexity of integration with existing network infrastructures. Through a comprehensive evaluation, we aim to identify the most effective routing strategies for SDN and propose future research directions to address the identified gaps.
